Background

The joint venture was founded for production coordination, maintenance and strategic development of sales markets of the founders' joint products.

The basic task of the joint venture is the marketing of Be containing materials in the world and Russia and also the sales of the joint and other products of the founders.

Starting from January 2003 "BerylliUM" is engaged in sales of Beryllium Copper products in the markets of Russia and Belarus.

In July 2003, BerylliUM Ltd. and its founders signed a partnership agreement with Tropag Oscar H. Ritter Nachf. GmbH (Germany) on supply of BeCu rolled products to the European market.

In August 2003, BerylliUM Ltd. started selling rods and wire made of БрБ2 (C17200) alloy and also rods, cast cylinder billet and plates made of МКБ (CuCoBe) alloy.

The joint venture has a number of commercial partners as consumers of the non-ferrous rolled products as follows: AUTOVAZ, GAZ, Severstal, MML, NLMK, and the largest enterprises of defense and nuclear industries of the Russian Federation.

During 2003, the production and sales volume of BeCu rolled products increased by 18%. The supplies to the European market were started.
